Registering VASA Provider (HP 3PAR 8200) in vSphere 5.5 failed

Dear all

We are testing a HP 3PAR 8200 via iSCSI and Vmware vSphere 5..5. Everything is working fine so far. But we have some Problems to register the Vendor Provider Certificate (VASA). We are getting the following error :

A problem was encountered while registering the provider.

The Service on the 3PAR System is running :

-Service- --------------VASA_API2_URL--------------- -MemUsage(MB)- -Version-
Enabled   https://isc-ips02.isc-central.ch:9997/vasa              96                  2.2.9

We already used the solutiion of the following vmware KB but with no success :

https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2079087

The ESX Host's and the HP 3PAR Time are in sync.

Does anybody have some ideas or tips ?

And there we have a second question :

Why we can't see in vSphere the effective Free Diskspace of the Virtual Volumes (3PAR) incl. Dedup an not written Zeros ? Like in the attached Picture 3PAR_Info.jpg

This should be in correlation with the HP 3PAR Management Software Plug-In resp. VASA Certificate, right ?

If you need any further information just let me know.

kind regards

Haenggi

There is on addition :

The VVOLS are provisioned as Thinly Deduped on the 3PAR System

The Firmware Version of HP 3PAR is 3.2.2.390
