Storage Administration Portal for VMware vCenter and 3PAR 7450
Hey all,
I am trying to setup vCenter integration with my newly install 7450 and I seem to be having an issue. When I am setting up the integration, everything seemingly goes pretty smoothly. I enter in the VIP (ip address of all my 7450's nodes) and I use the preconfigured 3paradm account with the correct password. When I hit next, there is a certificate to accept, which I do. After that configuration fails. Am I missing something? Perhaps the certificate is incorrect or I am using the wrong username and password?

Fails how? Any error messages?

I doubt it.

Not very specific. :-(
Can you connect using the Remote CLI client or using ssh?

I made that same face. What am I SSHing to? The service processor or the actual 7450 itself?

To the array: ssh 3paradm@array-VIP
(But this won't test the certificate like the Remote CLI client will.)

Ok I am in without any issues. Is there a log file I can view that would be helpful or something?

I don't know where the Portal log is. But you can check to make sure the array is working:
showeventlog -min 30 # (goes back 30 minutes)
showcim
showwsapi

Re: Storage Administration Portal for VMware vCenter and 3PAR 7450
I don't see much in the event log. Just a bunch of setcurrentdomain events from the 2 other engineers familiarizing themselves with the management UI.
Here is a screen cap of the commands you asked me to run along with a version output in case you were curious:
This is a pre-production unit for now as we are load testing. We did install the latest update 3.2.1 MU1 (3.2.1.120).

Re: Storage Administration Portal for VMware vCenter and 3PAR 7450
Update: I am working through page 123 on the HP OneView for VMware vCenter User Guide manual:
I will let you know the results after I work through the 2 methods.
