Storage Migration

Hello friends,

I am doing a SAN based storage migration from IBM/EMC Storage(Source) to HP 3 PAR(Target). For most of these I am currently using the HP mpx 200 router for online/offline migration. However I wanted to know what are the other migration methods/tools which can be used for online/offline migrations assuming Source and Target are in the same location. All these migrations are supposed to be Block level involving at least 150TB - 300TB of storage.

Question 2:: Does HP have any other tool to take care of the such migrations other than MPX ?

Thanks,

unixone

Re: Storage Migration

Hello

MPX200 is a good tool to move data. MPX200 uses a linux embedded. We used a lot of in migration data phase.

If you are an unix expert you can the same thing with a server.

Few customers are used unix server to move their data from old storage to new storage. A good unix command moves data without look at operating system's file system
