To Connect to the EVA & 3PAR at the same time

I'm going to do a EVA to 3PAR migration soon. But I would still like my server 2008R2 to access both SAN's.

I'm going to use 2 HBA's, but I think I need each one to have their own DISM, right? So would the MPIO have both settings?

DISM??? No idea what that is.

Simply set up the zones for your server to talk to the EVA and 3PAR.

For the EVA, you would need to install HP MPIO Full Featured DSM for P6x00/EVA4x00/6x00/8x00 families of Disk Arrays.
For the 3PAR, you would need to enable Microsoft Window's MPIO feature and configure.

Either will require the Windows server be rebooted.

I meant DSM. I now have HP HSV200. I will be adding

3PARdataVV. I assuming that both can reside on the server?

Absolutely.

The HP EVA DSM handles the EVA pathing.

The Microsoft MPIO handles the StoreServ pathing.
