Re: Unexport virtual volume
If the VV is not part of VVset, you can go ahead and unexport the VV that is expected message.
see attached screen shot from IMC user guide

Re: Unexport virtual volume
Hi, You can right click on the VV and select unexport and and on the next screen it would show you two options "Delete and Do not Delete" click on delete that would unexport the LUN but You have to ensure that there should not be any IO operation run on the LUN disk at the server end during the time when You unexport the LUN as it may corrupt the data.
Let me know if you have any question.

Re: Unexport virtual volume
Hello There,
When you are unexporting the volume- is this part of a hostset ? Also are the volumes part of a volumeset ?
If there are multiple LUNs presented to a host set and your VVs are part of that, then it becomes a risky affair if you try to unport them from the host set. All exported LUNs will be removed from host access
To prevent this, go to the virtual volume tab and select the virtual volume. If this part of a set or template, this will show up in IMC. You may then unexport them individually.
The warning message you are getting will be for associated snapshots if any. These snapshots will also be deleted for the LUN. This is normal.
Hope this helps.

Re: Unexport virtual volume
As others mentioned, is the host expecting the LUN to disappear?
In the CLI, you can also use "statvv VV-name" to see if any I/O.
