Re: migrating data (vmware vvols) form 3par to primera
Hi Sanja1,
You may use 'Peer Motion' for 3PAR to Primera Migration.
Make sure both 3PAR and Primera are added to the same SSMC.
Host to be connected to both 3PAR and Primera
Identify Peer port on both sides and add them to 1 to 1 zoning.
Follow the options available in SSMC 'Peer Motion'.
For more details, please refer the document:

Re: migrating data (vmware vvols) form 3par to primera
Hi Srini,
thx for your reply. can you please send link again...I can't open this one
There is no option on container (as on regular VV) to use Peer Motion.
I did found https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00088911en_us but it say that "Migration of snapshots, clones, VMware VVols, or Remote Copy groups is not supported" is this changed?

Re: migrating data (vmware vvols) form 3par to primera
Hi Sanja1,
3PAR Peer Motion helps you to migrate at 3PAR Virtual Volume (VV) level. It just migrates the 3PAR VV to Primera.
If you want to migrate the VMware VVol along with all it's configuration and granularity, you may Vmotion it.
Here is the 3PAR to Primera migration guide:

Srini
