Hello everyone,
I have the following problem, in a 3par V400, an alert disk which is in a magazine, the servicemag command was released to release the magazine and the replacement of the problem disk was performed.
I re-placed the magazine and the servicemag was run summarizes which detected problems on the new disk and could not move the total of the Chuncklet, now the magazine has 1 degraded disk (which is the new disk) and the disk with failure (the original disc that was alerted).
My question is what is the procedure I should take to release the new album and again replace with a new album.
adjunto mas informacion del estado del magazine y de los discos.
Regards.

Re: replacing a disk failure is done and the new disc also fails is a 3PAR V400
Hi Torsten.
Yes, I realized that too, but my question is the state of the chunklets without moving from the disk with ID 43 failure to the new ID 2 disk, now I am moving the chuncklets manually. and if I can do this I will replace the disk with another.
I will perform these steps and tell you
Thank you

SolutionHi Torsten,
If correct the PD 2 disk was also with errors. With the help of a friend I managed to solve the problem.
In summary, perform the following.
1. As I had 2 disc with failure in the magazine.
cli% showpd -failed -degraded
--Size(MB)-- ----Ports----
Id CagePos Type RPM State Total Free A B Cap(GB)
2 2:0:3 FC 15 degraded 559104 0 0:6:3 1:6:3* 600
43 2:0:3? FC 15 failed 559104 0 ----- ----- 600
---------------------------------------------------------------
2 total 1118208 0
2. Execute command to see how many chunklets PD 43 had.
cli% showpdch -from 43
Pdid Chnk LdName LdCh State Usage Media Sp Cl From To
51 531 ctierpprdci_2_ORADAT.usr.7 65 normal ld valid Y N 43:237 ---
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total chunklets: 1
3. Then execute command to move that chuncklet that the servicemag could not move.
cli% movech -f -perm -ovrd 51:531
Move -State-- -Detailed_State--
51:531-70:47 degraded remote_disks_used
4. Now I was able to remove that PD 43.
cli% Dismisspd 43
5. As the servicemag command ended with failure, clean the servicemag command. cage 2 magazine 0
cli% servicemag unmark 2 0
cli% servicemag clearstatus 2 0
6. Once the servicemag command was cleaned, I proceeded to execute the command again.
cli% servicemag start 2 0
7. Once you have finished correctly, change the PD 2 disk to another new disk, perform the Resume command.
cli% servicemag resume 2 0
8. leaving the magazine without problem.
Thanks for your help.
I hope it serves others in this situation.
regards
