1000BASET LAN ERROR
Hi:
We have some problem with a 1000BASET GiGA Ethernet card. (A4929A).
We install de A4929A Software for the Drive and add the driver gelan on kernel.
But the system still show unkown from the ioscan out.
Help me please !!!

Yea, for the A4929A your ioscan should look as you mentioned, with the 'gelan' driver:
lan 4 0/4/2/0 gelan CLAIMED INTERFACE HP A4929A PCI 1000Base-T Adapter
/dev/gelan4
Any errors will be in dmesg or syslog.log. Please check for these. If nothing appears then reseat the card.
# dmesg | more
Check the card LED's. 1000Base LE link off? Or all speeds LES's off? Reseat Card.
