9000/800/A500-44 - Change SCSI ID.
I want to change the SCSI ID of the following Ultrawide controller on the 9000/800/A500-44. Did a little bit of research but could not find the right document for this one.
This is the SCSI adapter I want to change the SCSI ID from 7 to 8.
ext_bus 0 0/0/1/0 c8xx CLAIMED INTERFACE SCSI C896 Ultra Wide LVD
Regards,
Kapilraj

Re: 9000/800/A500-44 - Change SCSI ID.
Way back when Fibre was too expesive, we used to buid Serviceguard clusters using SCSI and this was the method to share the disks between two systems.

Re: 9000/800/A500-44 - Change SCSI ID.
This is a bad idea!
"8" is the lowest priority ever - each disk on the bus has a higher priority, better use 6.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
