Hi,

I was wondering how do I check the rev level on a cpu in an RP7420 machine.

Try STM if available. I prefer xstm but something like this would work as well.

echo "selclass qualifier cpu; info;wait;infolog" | cstm

You can redirect the output to a log file as well. I do see a "processor chip revision" for each cpu on the output on my 7420.
