Re: A6826A unclaimed STK L700

It is a problem with device driver being not configured in the kernel.

Check the required drivers are there in kernel using
# lsdev -d sctl
# lsdev -d schgr

If not then you have to add them using SAM or by adding them in /stand/build/system file
and rebuild the kernel manually , reboot the system thereafter.

You should see in the ioscan , STK L700 in claimed state. Then you need to create a device file for picker/robotics.
Remember you need to use sctl driver only for picker device as FC interface is in use.

Re: A6826A unclaimed STK L700

hi, the drivers are present and installed for the fc cards, but there is no software drivers for the storagetek library attached.

you will need to install some form of backup software which has the support and drivers for the library to control it.

have you any installed?

Re: A6826A unclaimed STK L700

I add schgr via sam which rebuit kernel and reboot now I see L700 as following:

autoch 0 0/4/1/0.5.16.255.0.0.0 schgr CLAIMED DEVICE STK L700 /dev/rac/c4t0d0

Then I followed 'insf -e' to create device file name.

Thanks a prompt response with the lighting resolution.

Only the side note: I spoke to Veritas tech support to see if theirs software will carry device driver to fix this problem they said if 'iscan' do not see then they can't help.
