A6829A drivers for hp rp7400

Hello,
I'm looking for SCSI controller A6829A drivers for rp7400 (HP-UX 11i1). Please help me find this drivers, and tell me something about installing this controller into rp7400 (some tips or troubles with that).

As far as I understand your HP-UX 11i v1 should have the Ultra160 SCSI driver for A6829A. You can dind a installation document on the docs.hp.com web.

-> Search "A6829A"

hi rafal,

if the system is reasonably upto date with patches then it should see the card ok.

does Ioscan show the card as claimed?
if not then you may just have to add the driver to the kernal through SAM.

Also there is a few patches you need to check you have installed

http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PHKL_32089&context=hpux:800:11:11

http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PHCO_31314&context=hpux:800:11:11

and there may be others too, check the patch depot for any newer ones.

once these patches are installed the system should be fine

Rafal,

The A6829A user doc says that the driver is installed, but you need in addition to install the c8xx driver. The driver should be available from the HWEnable11i bundle (on the OE media).

See http://docs.hp.com/en/A6829-96002/ch02s07.html
