Activate Snd CPU HP 9000 R380

1 - How we can know if the second CPU on HP 9000/R380 is working ,as we installed a new software (built with informix...)our sever is 512 Mb RAM with two HDD 9 G0 (Vg00 for HP-UX;Vg01 for database)itb works slowly as we compare it with an IBM eServer 6xx series...?
2 - Can we install a DDS3 DAT ?

1. Easiest way is to run top - if two cpus show up, then they are both active

2. yes- if you have the correct scsi card installed

I am running HP-UX yougo B.11.00 U 9000/800 2013471883 licence pour un nombre illimité d'utilisateurs.

1) No need to discuss the performance of this dinosaur, it has 180MHz only.

There was a 1 CPU model and a 2 CPU model.

Try to run

echo "selclass qualifier cpu;info;wait;il"|cstm

this will show you the number of installed CPUs, even if 1 is disabled.

To be sure, please run "model" and post the result.

/sbin/ioscan -fCprocessor

This will list processors and is not dependant on anything other than a base OS install.

The top command shows only one cpu - you can use the ther commands to see if the second one is present, but disabled
