Are HP 9000 Unix boxes rarer than other 90's Unix workstations?

My soft spot in the Retrocomputing hobby are the 90s exotic Unix workstations and while I currently own some IBM and Sun systems ,the HP ones intrigue me the most. Maybe this is because they seem to be less common than other workstations. To be fair they don't show up here often and there are not many YT vids covering them. Also they tend to fetch quite high prices on eBay going up to 2000$. So why is that?

Were less of them produced back in the day compared to the Sun, IBM and SGI equivalents or is it the possibility that many of them are still in production environments handling legacy applications?

Hope this helps!
