Re: Attention light blinking

Press cntl-B

This will take you into the GSP login

Press enter
password press "enter" (default)

at the GSP propmt

GSP>sl
Then type 'E' to check the errors

Filter -->N

check the logs for any non urgent operator attention messages.

This should stop your attention light blinking

Re: Attention light blinking

Hi,
What type of server is it(model).
Anyway go to console or webconsole and go to GSP by typing Ctrl+B (^B)
and look at the messages by typing "sl" and acknowledge them, that will bring the attention ligh to normal.

Re: Attention light blinking

Hi Faiza,

The Status LED blinks because the Module (GSP) which monitors your server hardware came across an error condition which is either of this kind warning/critical/information/attention.
You need to go to the GSB console level and see the message. The procedure to do this is explained below

1.Press ctrl+ B at the console
2.type SL
3. type E
4.Read the Log file
5.quit
6.type CO
this will take you back to the normal console

In addition to this please take a look at the following link for more info.

It's due to that, system has some error and it wants you to see taht error(which ofcourse you didn't understand)

from console, press ctrl+b
GSP> sl
press 'e'
press 'n' (for filtering)
press 'q' (quit)
GSP> co (back to console)

now attn light should have stopped blinking
never give up

Re: Attention light blinking

Faiza,

The place to look is in the GSP logs.
I have included below a few urls that give examples of previous logged issues and.

You can use these examples as a guide on how to use the GSP,control B, and sl options to review the logs :-
