Booting information on Graphical console PCI Display

I have RP5430 server with screen connected to the graphical card i want the booting information to appear on the graphical screen not on the serial console what is the parameters i have to change or what to do. plz advise

I assume uou use the grapich adapter in this link:

If you read the note 1 you find that boot console is not supported.

Thx: but does this mean that if i have 3D graphics i canot use it as console output device. if yes how can i know from the HP-UX OS that this card is 3D.

I suppose you wonder about the following:

"The graphics card is not supported with 3-D graphics libraries or as a boot or system console."

It talk about two different things which is not related to each other:
- No support for 3D graphics (as PEX or OpenGL).
- Not supported as boot or system console.

The limitation about 3D graphics is only intresting if you want to run 3D applications (for example 3D modelling programs).

In your case is it the limitation with console that is the problem. I suppose it is because the driver for the card is loaded somwhere in the boot process (and the card is not activated before the system is up).

I don't think you can redirect the console to a graphic card in rp5430 server. Since the core I/O is designed like that (serial connection from core I/O devided in to three - console, remote and UPS), you cannot redirect the console path.

Read the product manual for more details about the design.
