Built-In LAN on K580 - Is it capable of doing 100Mbps? And how?

I've an old K580. It is connected to our LAN currently at just 10Mbps via its built-in ethernet. Is it possible to bump up the NIC to do 100Mbps?

Details:

[ /etc/rc.config.d ]
root@huey # model
9000/800/K580

[ /etc/rc.config.d ]
root@huey # ioscan -kfnC lan
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
===================================================================
lan 0 10/12/6 lan2 CLAIMED INTERFACE Built-in LAN
/dev/diag/lan0 /dev/ether0

[ /etc/rc.config.d ]
root@huey # lanadmin -s 0
Speed = 10000000

[ /etc/rc.config.d ]
root@huey # lanadmin -S 100000000 0
Old Speed = 10000000
Unable to change speed: errno = 22

Nelson,

Not exactly sure about the 580, but my 470 was strictly 10Base/T. I suspect that would be true for you as well.

Hi Nelson,

I'm fairly sure that the lancard in the core I/O board on a K580 can only support 10 half.

If you want a 100MB lan card you will need a HPPB or GSC card installed in one of the expansion slots.

Cheers,

Found the docu for the K580 and it indeed is simply 10BT Half Duplex.

That explains why lanadmin is unable to set it.
