I'm working on a L3000 that had a failed bus adapter 0/8. I replaced the IO backplane and the same bus was still DEAD!! The PDC does not pick it up. It also give me an unexpected configuration change error.
sounds like you should call an HP engineer to get some professional help. Possible causes of a bus adapterfailure: 1.) Bad PCI backplane (good try to replace it) 2.) Bad PCI card 3.) Bad system card.
