Re: CPU upgrade for rp8400
I could not find any public accisible upgrade documents, but the upgrade will include the following:
-new CPUs (not surprising)
-new cellboards
-new CoreIO/MP cards
-new PCI-X Backplane (old PCI cards supported)
In addition to this you have to install HPUX 11.23. Are you sure that you want the MX2 (IA64) pocessors ? Another option would be to upgrade to the PA8800 double core PA Risc CPUs. It is the same type of upgrade, only other CPUs and you can continue to run your HPUX 11.11 after some patch installations and a HW path remapping script run (PCI-X has a little bit different hw pathes than PCI).
best regards
Stefan

Re: CPU upgrade for rp8400
If this is correct, I did find a manual for this, part number is A9785-96001.
However, I could not find it online anywhere.
