Cannot go to GSP from console

Hi,

Entering Ctrl+B does not give the GSP prompt from the console.

Can anyone help me on this.

Thanks in advance

Re: Cannot go to GSP from console

What type of server are youw working on?

Older systems (such as K series) could be locked down using a key on the system itself.

Re: Cannot go to GSP from console

What type of terminal you are using in the console? It seems it could not sense the Cntrl key. Try to change the setting of the console. Set it as vt100 emulation. It should work.

Re: Cannot go to GSP from console

Hi,

Sorry for not mentioning about my system specs in my earlier msg.

The system I'm using is K class (9000). Model is K260 and terminal type is 700/92.

Thanks again.

Forgot to mention that the system is HP-UX 10.20.

Re: Cannot go to GSP from console

The K-class has a key on the front. Setting the key vertically disables CTRL-B, turning it all the way to the right (clockwise) will enable CTRL-B. Don't turn the key to the left (counter-clockwise) as this turns off power.

Re: Cannot go to GSP from console

Hi,

The other day, I turned off the server completely due to a power outage in the company premises. I think I overlook on the key positioning (I'm also not sure of the impact occurred to the console)when I startup the server.

Anyway thanks for prompt reply from you guys (espcially to Bill Hassell), I managed to get the Ctrl B working again.
