Changing GSP password on rp7400?

I need to change the admin password on the GSP of an rp7400. I ran SO at the GSP prompt, but it changes login name, and account name. But not the password.
How do I change the password?

Re: Changing GSP password on rp7400?

It asks if you want to modify several things to any given user when you use the SO command. One of those is the current password. It's not the easiest interface to deal with... easy to miss what you're looking to change.

Yes, it does list a lot, but it does not mention password anywhere.

Re: Changing GSP password on rp7400?

Jeff is right, you should be getting prompted for a password; "Enter Password [unchanged]:"

MP:CM> so

1. MP wide parameters
2. User parameters
Which do you wish to modify? ([1]/2) 2

Current users:

LOGIN USER NAME ACCESS PART. STATUS

1 sysadm Administrator Admin
2 Oper Operator Operator

1 to 2 to edit, A to add, D to delete, Q to quit : 2

Current User parameters are:
Login : Oper
Name : Operator
Organization :
Access Level : Operator
Mode : Multiple Use
State : Enabled
Default Partition :
Dialback : (disabled)

Enter Login [Oper] :

Enter Name [Operator] :

Enter Organization [] :

Valid Access Levels: Administrator, Operator, Single Partition User
Enter Access Level (A/[O]/S) :

Valid Modes: Single Use, Multiple Use
Enter Mode (S/[M]) :

Valid States: Disabled, Enabled
Enter State (D/[E]) :

Enable Dialback ? (Y/[N])

Enter Password [unchanged] :

New User parameters are:
Login : Oper
Name : Operator
Organization :
Access Level : Operator
Mode : Multiple Use
State : Enabled
Default Partition :
Dialback : (disabled)

Changes do not take affect until the command has finished.
Save changes to user number 2? (Y/[N])
Remember, wherever you go, there you are...

Hi Joe,

in the Enter Password promt , you have enther the new password. The default/by pressing enter the password would remain unchanged.
