Compaq 9000 Universal Rack from 2001 - Key for the inbuilt door lock, front and rear.

I am looking for a replecment key or working lock system for my Compaq 9000 Universal Rack.

I see some offers on Ebay for keys, but wuld like to know if there is an official source for this.

The locks work perfectly but I would like to be able to lock them with key.

As you probably already know the rack is out of support so parts might not be available. You can check part surfer - https://partsurfer.hpe.com/search.aspx for the correct part number for the key if it's still available or what the replacement part number is.

It would seem the lock and or keys are not listed with part numbers in the documentation I have found.

Actually I found it after some browsing, it seems the locks + keys are included in the door parts, example of part number (218217-B21 or similar.

So it would seem this may not be possible to solve unless I somehow found new/refurbished  doors.

What size is your rack. I've checked the 42U and found the following 432368-001 part code for keys

Its the narrow verison, 600mm wide and 42U tall.

bleh, putting one of these.... not paying 50$ for such a small unsafe key.
