Console terminal issue

Conneded through the MP to the console (of an rp8400) all of a sudden everything looks like this:

I don't get it. All capitals? And what's with the backslashes? Anyone know how to reset the thing?

Hi,
Did you do telnet to the Lan Console?
If so then probably something wrong with the properties of the telnet session. Right Click on the Windows and try looking at the properties ....(Font,layout etc.)

Last time I saw this, someone had logged in with Caps Lock On.
You need to check the Caps Lock setting.

make off the caps lock, and logout and login.

You logged in with your caps-lock on.
When you do this, just use
"stty -lcase"
to turn it off when this happens.
