Could I configure a 100 BT a lan of a 9000/813/D230?

I,

I have a model 9000/813/D230, and I only have one lan:

> lanscan
Hardware Station Crd Hdw Net-Interface NM MAC HP-DLPI DLPI
Path Address In# State NamePPA ID Type Support Mjr#
8/16/6 0x080009AF8D37 0 UP lan0 snap0 1 ETHER Yes 119

> ioscan -fnClan
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
===================================================================
lan 0 8/16/6 lan2 CLAIMED INTERFACE Built-in LAN
/dev/diag/lan0 /dev/ether0

it is configured to 10 BT.
Could I force it to 100?
If I can't... Could I connect another target of 100 to this server D230?
Thanks!!
Carmen.

Carmen,

unfortunately the built-in LAN of the D-Class is 10MBit Half Duplex *only*. Do not try to use lanadmin to *force* it to anything else, most likely this would break the network link because the driver might accept it but the card just cannot do that.

There are 100Mbit LAN cards, which require a free HSC slot (machine has only 4). The part numbers a J3515 (single port) and J3516 (dual port).

Bernhard
