Re: D-class video issue.

D-class video issue.

I have a D390 with EG graphics that will not show video at all when just the monitor is plugged in. When a terminal is plugged in and the system boots, the monitor has a grey screen and has the yellow boxes on the bottom. I do not believe that the video board is bad and it is in the turbo slot. Once the system is booted up all of the crt configurations seem to be working. Any ideas or is the gfx board just gone? Thanks in advance.

Re: D-class video issue.

When you the that "Once the system is up all the crt configurations seem to be working" do you mean that you can get CDE running on the monitor? - If so that is normal behaviour as the graphics card is not set as console. I am not sure if you can set the Graphics card as console for a D-Class - I'll chack and update later if it can

Re: D-class video issue.

Had this same problem on 2 systems. fix was to pull the cmos battrie out and let it reset. after clearing cmos the grafix on the D box's came up on the video card with no problem.
