Re: D260/D380 hardware end of support date ?
Our HP sales rep said last week that there is still no end-of-support date determined for the D260 yet. He also mentioned the usual end-of-support date for a server would be 5 years after the server was obsolete, therefore for the case of D260 the end-of-support date should be around 2005 presuming the server was obsolete in year 2000.
Is the information given by our sales rep correct?

Re: D260/D380 hardware end of support date ?
Yes that's true, usually it's 5 years after becoming obsolete.
But your sales representative is wrong when saying that there is no end-of-support date determined for the D260. Mr. Martin's answer is correct; he's an HP guy, he should know.
HTH,
Vince

Re: D260/D380 hardware end of support date ?
The 5-year rule fits, because the D260 went obsolete on 1 February 1998.
I double checked the 31 May 2003, this is the end of support date for the D260
