D350 power cord... convert to regular 120v cord

Hi... I have a HP 9000 D350/2 HP-UX system that I would like to change from the goofy power cord that goes to the HP UPS, to a standard 120v cord that I can plug into my datacenter UPS.

Can this be done?

Do I need any additional parts or changes made to either the HP 9000 or HP-UX?

Thanks for your help

Re: D350 power cord... convert to regular 120v cord

Your D-box will run just fine on 120VAC. Most of the power supplies were autoranging. If not, there is an input voltage selector switch near the bottom left corner of the rear panel. Note that you will now be drawing twice the current (~ 9A) as that at 240VAC so you need a heavy power (16 or 14 gauge conductors) cable rather than a wimpy (typically 18 gauge) PC version.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
