Re: Details on server specifications class wise ( entry / mid range /high )

hi,

this link is for the latest superdome and rp series:

http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/HP9000_family_overview.html

the older models, i.e. A/K/L/V etc are not easy to find, but this one has a "Discontinued product" link:

http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/9000_discontinued.html

or try this:

Re: Details on server specifications class wise ( entry / mid range /high )

hi ranjit,

i do not suppose they group the previous series, i.e. K/L/N/A/... into these classes. probably only server or workstation classes.

i believe they only started it with the current rp series. some more info:

Re: Details on server specifications class wise ( entry / mid range /high )

the L1000/L1500/L2000/L3000 became the rp54xx systems, A/L/N also became something different.

For information on old systems, You might want to look at http://www.openpa.net .

I'll do a small dump, but not all might be correct :(

old:
D-Class/R-Class, entry
K-Class 1-6 CPU, 120-280MHz, midrange
V-Class 1-32 CPU, something-450MHz, highend

not so old:
A-Class, 180-850MHz entry
L-Class, 360-??? MHz entry-to-midrange
N-Class, 360-650 MHz midrange to highend
still V-Class and Superdome

current:
these all go by rpSomething, I don't know them by heart.
Keystone, midrange
Matterhorn's, highend
Superdome, highend
yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.

This attachment is 3 years old, but it covers many of the servers you are asking about. It does not have any of the Itanium (rx) or the newer rp (rp7620/rp8420)lines. Does this give you what you were looking for?

R/D-class 1-2 CPU 100-240MHz 3GB
L1000/2000 1-4 CPU 360-540MHz 16GB
rp5430/rp5470 1-4 CPU 550-875MHz 16GB

Mid-Range:
K-class 1-6 CPU 100-240MHz 8GB
N-class 1-8 CPU 360-550MHz 32GB
rp7400 1-8 CPU 550-750MHz 32GB
rp7410 2-8 CPU 650-875MHz 64GB
rp8400 2-16 CPU 650-875MHz 128GB

High-end

V-class 1-32 CPU 200-552MHz 32GB
Superdome 8600/8700 2-64 CPU 552-875MHz 256GB

Note that the V2500 & V2600 were 'SCA' Capable, which means that you could interconnect them to create a larger server.

V2600 SCA 16-128 CPU 440-552MHz 128GB
