Re: Difference between A180 and C180

An A180 is considered a "server" as it is part of the 800 series of machines.

The C180 is considered a "workstation" as it is part of the 700 series of machines.

Re: Difference between A180 and C180

A180 is in the 9000/800 server class, the C180 is in the 9000/700 workstation class.

Also an A180 is a PA7300LC system, the C180 is a PA8000 system

Given a choice, choose the C180. Newer, faster, better.

Re: Difference between A180 and C180

Also. the A180 was like a "pizza-box" type server - almost blade-like in todays terms.
The C180 ia a full sized workstation - holds more cards, disks, etc.
BUT....the A180 WAS considered a server-class machine. But I'd probably take the C180 as well....

My 2 cents,
Jeff
