Error in gsp log

I noticed a fault light flashing on our HP N4000 server this morning. I checked the gsp error log and found the following entry.

SYSTEM NAME: uninitialized
DATE: 07/06/2008 TIME: 09:45:07
ALERT LEVEL: 12 = Software failure

SOURCE: 1 = processor
SOURCE DETAIL: 1 = processor general SOURCE ID: 0
PROBLEM DETAIL: 0 = no problem detail

CALLER ACTIVITY: B = system panic STATUS: 0
CALLER SUBACTIVITY: 00 = implementation dependent
REPORTING ENTITY TYPE: E = HP-UX REPORTING ENTITY ID: 00

0xA0E000C01100B000 00000000 000005E9 type 20 = major change in system state
0x58E008C01100B000 00006C06 06092D07 type 11 = Timestamp 07/06/2008 09:45:07

I can't find any other evidence of a system panic.

# ll /var/adm/crash
total 0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Jul 25 2007 bounds

ls -ltr /var/tombstones
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 29163 Jul 6 05:55 ts99

I only listed the ts99 tombstone. This has the time stamp of our scheduled weekly reboot.

This is a N4000 PA_RISK / PA8600 running HP-UX B.11.11

The server seems to be running fine at the moment with no signs of a panic.

Please let me know if this is something to be concerned about.

Thanks, Shawn

Re: Error in gsp log

Hi,

Can U put the MP/GSP show event logs press "D"?

Check the system syslog file any new error massage.

Re: Error in gsp log

Thanks for replying. This is a N Class server with no option that I know of to dump the logs. It's connected to a web console so I would need to access the gsp through a telnet session to be able to copy and paste. We haven't had any problems with the server so I don't know if it was a hiccup or something else that will raise its ugly head again. I checked the syslog and went through the gsp event logs but didn't see anything more to be concerned about.

Thanks, Shawn

Re: Error in gsp log

The Problem seems to have disappeared. It has been over a week and the server seems to be fine.
