Re: External LTO Drive nor detecting on HP RX 4640
From the command I know it is hp-ux, but what version?
My first idea is to check if the "stape" driver is installed - check this please.
# kcmodule stape
Please provide the output of
# ioscan -fn
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: External LTO Drive nor detecting on HP RX 4640
U can check first Ur external tape drive rear view....two SCSI ports or one...if it is two then U put upper port SCSI cable then U put lower port terminator if it is available & check which number if there by default "3" & 3 is good.
Check the SCSI cable & SCSI card is ok then execute from OS level "ioscan" "insf -e" "ioscan -fnC tape". Now what is status pls inform
Thanks--Yaqub

Re: External LTO Drive nor detecting on HP RX 4640
The problem was the HDD was configured in duplex mode, hence the external port was not working.
After configuring HDD in simplex mode the issue was resolved.
Thanks for you help
