FC Adapter A6685A on K580

Can i install the FC Adapter A6685A on the HSC slot than come in the core I/O and connect a DS2405?
I need extra storage, i do not need boot support from this.

In the adapter section you will see the card you are refering too - it has support for the K580 (and boot support if later required) on all pa releases. The DS is just a jbod - no big deal there.

Yes the A6685A card does work in a HSC slot. You can get the driver software from here:

You will still need to install the FC MASS storage subsystem from your core OS CD.

¿Is supported in the core i/O HSC slot? one note say no and the other say yes.

Thanks for your answer but, i have note HSC available on the expansion on this K580, can i install on the core HSC, the PF_CBHK4201 say than i can't install on the core hsc, just in the hsc expansion.

From that document I attached the link to check the following chapter :

--> Installation Prerequisites

Indeed Karthik was correct - no boot support - BUT the card is now supported on the K580 on the Core IO. However, you may need to upgrade your firmware/hardware critical patches.

Tnhanks for your confirmation, i have the firmware version 42.01 and the Fibre Channel Mass Storage Path, so the only think i need to install is the driver and the adapter.
