FLT 70FF

I have a HP9000 D-class that is coming up with a FLT 70FF. I have read
previous instances of FLT codes and seeing that they are memory problems. New
memory has been purchased and installed. The same problem occurs. (note) The
previous memory was burnt in the memory slot and burnt some of the slot up.
Naturally I know I can't use that slot anymore but the problem happened just
before the memory burnt up. In saying this has the whole board gone bad and it
is listing the memory slot as the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

From the content of your message, I would suggest you get a hardware call
placed with HP as soon as possible. There may be far more severe damage than is
immediately obvious. At best I would believe the processor board would have to
be changed, and it could be worse.

Re: FLT 70FF

Okay thanks Melvyn that is what happened. We called HP and they had to replace
the RAM, Riser board and the mother. The apparent problem was due to the RAM
not being seated properly into their slots. This was due to shipping. Thanks
for your help and assistance
