FW DF SCSI CARD IN L Class

Hi,

I have got an LClass server. Got a HASS box attached to it through Fast Wide Differential SCSI cable. Now I want to attach one more storage enclosure. this storage enclosure is also having the FW DF interface. But Have got only one slot where i can connect the interface behind the LClass

What are the options i have to connect the second storage enclosure?? Also i have got a D2xx system which is not in use and got 2 FW DF SCSI cards in this. Will these cards go in the server??

Regards

Re: FW DF SCSI CARD IN L Class

The D2xx cards will not fit in L-class.

You should go for A4800A FWD SCSI for L-class.
I don't think there is card availale with multiple port.

Check the possibility of daisy chaining the two devices you have and
make sure no SCSI ID clash.

Re: FW DF SCSI CARD IN L Class

Hi if you do connect the 2 boxes together make certain that the address 7 is not used on the HASS unit as this is the address of the A4800A, so therefore theoretically you could only use 15 slots out of the 16 available

Re: FW DF SCSI CARD IN L Class

A previous poster noted that the A4800A is a 1-port FWD (HVD) card.

The A5159B is a 2-port FWD (HVD) card.
