Fan Speed

Is there a console command I can use to get my current fan speed? I am using HP-UX 11 on an L1000.

I would also like to query CPU Temperature?

Re: Fan Speed

Hi Chris,

there is no way to query the system for fan speed or temperature.

Hope this helps.

Re: Fan Speed

Try the "top" command, but there is no information about cpu temperature...

Re: Fan Speed

I don't know, but I would check the EMS Monitor software documentation
http://docs.hp.com/en/B5735-90001/B5735-90001.pdf
and the Support Tools documentation.http://docs.hp.com/en/B6191-90015/ch02s01.html

Re: Fan Speed

There are only 2 fan speeds on an L-class, High & Low. you can set the fan speed in the BCH menu (before bootup). The only time that the fans increase to high-speed is when a fan fails or is removed.
