Well you do not state which HP9000 system this is, but if it is a K-class
system, I suspect you have a problem with your Core I/O card.
For a better answer, I suggest you log a hardware call with your nearest HP
support office, or at least state the 9000 system you have.

A chassis code of the format Axxx usually indicates a "Boot Device
Initialization Error"
The code FLT A088 indicates on all current systems "No console found, unable to
boot"

You better ensure that your console path is set right and the System Console
works properly

If you have a K-Class, It means "No console found, unable to boot."
If I were in your shoes, I probably check core/io board or root disk in ISL with command search.
Never say "no" first.

Before worrying about the core I/O, try simply power cycling the console and rebooting. Sometimes the console connection does not establish properly which hangs the boot and mimics a core I/O failure.
