Firewire, USB for N class

Does anyone know if HP support Firewire or USB interfaces for N Class machines. Thanks.

No, there is no firewire or USB capability for an N class that I know of.

What are you trying to do that you want firewire or USB?

Re: Firewire, USB for N class

hi,

I've never heard of it for the servers running hpux. Cannot see why you want it really.
There is support for USB on the workstation side and possible firewire but never seen it on hp box yet.

Thanks for your replies! Thought it was unlikely but wanted confirmation. The idea was just a method to transfer data to a portable linux/windows laptop.

I don't believe so but you may want to ask Charles...he'd know! 8-)

Re: Firewire, USB for N class

The newer rp34xx and rp44xx have built-in USB. also there is a PCI USB card for keyboard and mouse (not sure if it works with the N4000 or with a jump drive) Also, the newer HPUX workstations have USB.

If you have an FTP server running on the server, connecting the laptop to the network and ftp'ing the files is the way I usually do it.
