Front Panel's local Ram failed ????

Our LH3 Server has a red LED on its front panel and it says that the local RAM failed. What does this mean?

Re: Front Panel's local Ram failed ????

Hi,
When you see RED led on front that indicates H/w fault. You have some hardware problem. Go to GSP to see error log and identify the failed Hardware.
From Console press B to go to GSP.
GSP>
GSP> sl
Then select E

Hope this helps.

Re: Front Panel's local Ram failed ????

Hi,
Dear Lyle Merner,
You said you server is Netserver LH3.. is it ?
Then,

I think you must post this question in business support forums and not under HP9000
forums.

Please visit here:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/home.do?admit=716493758+1087209814156+28353475&forumId=2

GOTO The servers category there and post for any queries related to HP Netservers.

BTW,
Please ask your hardware personal to open up and check for loose seated RAM modules and then replace and check the RAM.
