GSP LOGS

Is there any alternative to check GSP log without RS-232 cable ?

Check files in /var/stm/logs/os and /var/stm/logs/sys

These files may not be ascii files, so check with strings command.
There is no substitute to HARDWORK

Hi,

If the GSP - LAN interface is configured the we may telnet to the GSP - LAN interface and get the required logs.

Shalom,

Sure, most GSP cards have a configurable NIC that can be set up with a normal network connection. Then you can access it with telnet.

Some GSP cards have httpd servers in them, which should be avoided if possible.

# cd /var/stm/logs/os
# cclogview -k ccerrlog |more

Note:
1) cclogview is primarily targeted for use by HP support personnel. See " man cclogview".
4) cclogview is not supported on A/L/N-class and it may or may not format all entries. In this case, you can use the STM LOGTOOL ViewErrorLog for formatting all entries.
