I am trying to understand all the commands in GSP that are related to shutdown/reboot/reset.
RS, PC and TC. What are the differences ?

Solution
The help page in GSP should explain that pretty well for you. Once you're in GSP mode.
GSP> HE RS
will bring up the description of "rs" command and what it does. Do the same for the rest (pc and tc). If I'm not mistaken ..
rs = Reset. You can think of it as cycling the power on the cpu. I sometimes use this if my system hung and could not get into the console and have no choice but to hard reset (from remote).
tc = It behaves like rs but it dumps chassis code instead.
pc = Power control. This allows you to turn the CPU OFF, ON or power-cycle it. With this you don;t have to physically hit the power switch at the front panel to turn the cpu off, you can go to GSP and use the pc command to turn it off.

I only have one remark: in case your system is hung and you want to find out why after the reset - use the tc. This writes an core dump which can be anaylzed by the HP support staff then. Otherwise your information will be lost.
