GSP XU command

I am trying to update the GSP firmware on our N-Class servers, and when executing the XU command I get the following message back.
"Command can only be executed from the local console port, or from HP-UX via
a 'cu' command to the Service Processor's Internal Port."
Anyway around this?

Re: GSP XU command

You need to run this from the local console because a GSP firmware update will close all sessions during the update. xu activates upgrade mode.

This is from the installation instructions:
To update the firmware on the GSP, perform the following steps:
FTP the files to a system with the core I/O lan on the same subnet as the GSP

1. Access the GSP using the ctrl+b command from the local console keyboard.
2. Ping the LAN where the GSP files are located via the XD command item #3 (LAN access PING)

Re: GSP XU command

Or install the firmware via a patch,

PHSS_29938 11.00
PHSS_29939 11.11
