Re: GSP command
Hi Mrihul,
VFP: Virtual Front Panel display
VFP will display the state of the system(RP5405) and in case of a SUPERDOME this could be multiple partitions.
Hope this helps,
Robert-Jan

Re: GSP command
For cell-based platforms like the Superdome or the rp8400 series, there is an additional layer beyond the GSP to access multiple cells which can be partitioned into separate computer systems. That's why you see references to MP rather than GSP for these machines. The MP can look at each cell separately and the VFP acts as an interface to see what that cell is doing. The VFP is usually invoked during a reboot to watch the selftests in that cell. Because each partition is a separate system, a new interface is needed to talk to each system at the hardware level.

Re: GSP command
The differences I have noticed is that in non-cell based systems, like the rp5405, the vfp shows information about the LEDs and what they are currently displaying.
For cell based systems, you can get a high level vfp view of all of the partitions, or you can get the vfp of a specific partition, which will also show more state information about the particular cells of that partition.
