Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached
From the command (CM) menu you use the disable (DI) command as follows:
DI -telnet
This will *not* disable future telnets - it just bumps *all* telnet users from the MP
You can use the WHO command ahead of this to see the actual telnet users are.
HTH,
Jeff

Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached
Try getting on it with a serial console, the type "CM", "SA", and confirm that telnet access is at least enabled.
As an alternative connect to it with a web browser, in case the web console is active.
Good luck

Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached
there is a maximum of 32 sessions in parallel. You can't change this. But (as mentioned) you can disconnect active sessions (DI).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached
stty +queryGSP
What is the result?
You can reset the GSP while the OS is running without problems. First choice:
stty +resetGSP
or you log on with a serial attached console, press
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached
stty +queryGSP < /dev/GSPdiag1
is
GSP is functional.
But, the result of
stty +resetGSP < /dev/GSPdiag1
is
GSP reset failed
And, I still get the max number of telnet sessions message when I try to telnet, or a hung console after login when I browse to it.

Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached
see CM>HE SA for more information. Also check the ip settings, if netmask and gateway are correct. But telnet maybe disabled.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached
Find out the current version by typing HE at the MP prompt and post the first lines, please.
Did you connect with serial console and did a gsp reset with XD followed by R? If you don't have, you may also push the MP soft reset button on the rear, but only once and a short time of about 3 seconds. If you press longer, you'll probably reset the LAN settings to the default values.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
