Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached

Is it possible that the console being hung up like this would have caused a reboot of this system to not work? That is exactly what happened this weekend ... I didn't have a chance to deal with the console issue of max telnet sessions reached before a reboot was done this past weekend. The system did not come back up from the reboot, and we had to turn off the power, unplug the two power cords in the cabinet, plug them back in and turn power back on to get the machine up. Was this due to the console issue? Please advise, thanks!!

Re: GSP console, max number of telnet sessions reached

Hi Pat,

I never saw that a hung GSP prevent a system from boot. But I saw a system booting without any problems with a dead GSP. I can't answer this question definitely.

But it's still a good idea to bring the firmware to a current version. Please keep this in mind.

BTW, can you connect to the GSP now?

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
