I only know of a way to reset the GSP from the OS.
stty +resetGSP
But I've never seen a way how to configure it from the commandline(OS).
The above info will not be new for you I think.

If you connect ot a GSP you do not automaticly have console access, if you retured to the GSP last time (

When reading the thread that it is linked to, It might be possible if its not a very-new GSP
They use the cu -l

Nope - sorry.
There's no way to "interrogate" the GSP w/o console access. It's a whole "other" computer in and of itself & HP-UX has no way to access it's OS. Only via console (LAN or serial) can you "talk" to the GSP.
