HBA 64-bit or 32-bit

How can I say whether the HBA I have on my N-CLASS is a 64-bit or a 32-bit card. Thanks for any help.

Shalom

Get the model:
ioscan -fnC fc (or hba)

Then search http://partsurfer.hp.com

The slot specs for the server are at http://docs.hp.com

Re: HBA 64-bit or 32-bit

ioscan -fnC fc gives the following as the response,
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
=================================================================
fc 0 0/4/0/0 td CLAIMED INTERFACE HP Tachyon TL/TS Fibre Channel Mass Storage Adapter
/dev/td0

I don't find the model number...

Re: HBA 64-bit or 32-bit

I _believe_ the Tachyon TL (aka, IIRC Tachlight?) was > 32 bit addressing capable. I suspect that the place to find the definitive answer would be somewhere on Agilent's website since Tachyon went with Agilent at the split.

Given that HP-UX I/O services "deals with it" why in particular do you want to know?

Re: HBA 64-bit or 32-bit

hi,

it could also be an A5158A 1gb Fc mass storage adapter

Check with fcmsutil

#fcmsutil /dev/td0

This will list all info/fw version on card and part number
