I need to Install hbas on my L class server. Is it possible to determine whether my BOX has free HBA slots free from unix command line....

yes there is a command "rad".. try executing rad -q

for more details on the same refer man pages for rad.

on "rad -q" look at "Occu" column

If OLR is installed on this system then you can also try this command.

#olrad -q
