HP 9000 D Class
I have an opportunity to purchase an HP 9000 D Class, HP LazerJet 4000N, HP
Power Trust and Power Var 6.0. Are these appropriate for a small business/home
application, or would I be way overpowered? I was just hoping to have
sufficient capacity so I wouldn't have to upgrade my system so often. Can the
brain be cleansed and retrained--if so by whom?
Thanks for any information you can give me.

Re: HP 9000 D Class
That depends on what the business is you want to run. Also what os are you
going to run on the box and how versed are you at running that software? Unless
you're very technical your better off with an Intel based box. Unix and
mini-computers are complex and time consuming to support. Thats why large
corps. spend lots of money on support staffs and support contracts with
vendors. Unless your business isn't doing well and you have lots of time to
kill, stick to smaller platforms for home base/small office systems.

Re: HP9000 D Class info
Thanks so much for the information. I thought it was too big & technical for
what I need, but its nice to know for sure.
