HP 9000 superdome wont power on
hello all
we have a hp 9000 sd32 superdome, that will not power on at all, there are no lights on the front or back lcd, and there are no lights on the UGUY board or GSP board, however we do have lights on each of the power supplies, so there is power going to the server, but i cant get the system to power on. From what i have been reading on the internet, there appears to be only 3 SPOF's on the server, both the cables going to the LCD's are in place, i was wondering whether or UGUY board has developed a fault.
can anyone shed any light on the situation
Cheers
John

Re: HP 9000 superdome wont power on
Hi,
first thing to check - can you connect to the GSP? If yes, check the LOG and the "PS" for the current status.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

i cant connect to the GSP, its as if the whole system seems to be dead, turning on the power switch also doesnt appear to do anything.

Re: HP 9000 superdome wont power on
I would certainly hope that you have a maintenance contract with HP on a SD32. If you do, CALL THEM. That's what you pay all that money for!
