SolutionIf you need more capacity, you can upgrade the server to model rp5470 easily. A HP engineer can generate a "lockword" which is entered into the firmware's service menu. It will enable the remaining 2 CPU slots and the second memory carrier slot. If there are any PCI slots marked as unavailable now, they will be unlocked too (I don't remember the exact details).
After a lockword upgrade, you can add two more CPUs and a second memory carrier, bringing the totals to 4 CPUs and 16 GB of memory. That's the absolute maximum for your current hardware.

All specficiations and limitations are here. The rp54xx line is very versatile and upgrades within the line are possible if you want to make the investment.

Re: HP L1500 5430
Which way is costly, bying the "lockword" or bying a new server that will meet our requirements (4 cpus + more ram >4gb)
Thank you.

Re: HP L1500 5430
Its probably less costly to do an upgrade, which includes any lockwords or other codes needed to activate the new server. This must be done through HP or an authorized re-seller.
I will note that more up to date servers such as rp3440 and rp4440 PA-RISC servers will at a larger investment provide more performance.
A migration to equivalent rx2520 systems will even provide more performance, though the amount of work with either step goes higher as you move down through this post.
